 I normally do not write many reviews which dosent do women like Mari any justice cause god only knows they deserve all the praise. I have seen Mariposa on 2 seperate occasions and all I can say is WOW. Their isnt much I can put into words that has not already been said. I think one of the things that we fail to mention alot is how dont to earth and cool she is. Mari, is like being intimate with your best female friend. Now on to the good stuff. The great thing with her is that I dont think she has any limits as long as you treat her well. She is one of the most incredible tasting providers ever as she was just so sweet I didnt want to give her the chance to return the favor but when she did it was heaven.

Most fall between 2 and 4 Stars and, sadly, some 1 or even 0. It is with great pleasure that I very recently experienced the Casa d'Mari. From beginning to end this has been one of the finest epicurean experiences in which I have ever had the pleasure to indulge.
Let's start with the reservation process. Many restaurants don't even answer their phones anymore and, even after leaving a voice mail, either postpone or fail to call you back. I understand they are busy, but a relatively prompt callback shows the customer that his call is somewhat important and that the establishment doesn't take him for granted, or is so busy they don't need his business. In this particular case, the phone was answered on the third ring not by some disinterested intermediary, but by the proprietor herself. And it was answered in a manner that would put any customer at ease --- friendly, bubbly, helpful, and enthusiastic making you feel instantly welcome and relaxed. Handled so professionally, a reservation is easy to make as she goes out of her way to accommodate you with a mutually agreeable appointment.
Next, the directions are given patiently and professionally and, as it turns out, the establishment is easy to find and located in a safe and easily accessible area. Parking is no problem.
The décor of the establishment is simple yet warm and inviting. Your host is even more refined than her picture and the overall initial experience (sights, aromas, etc.) whet your appetite for the gourmet feast to come.
Drinks? Yes please, I'd love one and we engage in some pleasant discussion about what's on the menu. Such variety, specialties from around the world, I can hardly contain my excitement and it's starting to show. But after a leisurely discussion in which the proprietor demonstrates a true interest in getting to know her customer, and wanting her customer to know her business, I divulge some of my preferences in cuisine and the proprietor, without blinking an eyelash, smiles and gets us prepared for the first course.
The first course I have chosen is the French Crème d'banana which is whipped into a frenzy by this chef extraordinaire. The beauty of the presentation only hints at the actual tasting experience as I begin to sample the Fleur d'Mari, a perfect blend of sweet fragrant juices contained in a soft, unctuous, perfectly formed pink shell. Accompanied by an expertly chosen '69 Bouquet, I am in heaven.
I must confess that at this point the experience is so overwhelming that I begin to tremble in ecstasy. Wave after wave of spasmodic pleasure grips me as never before and I am satiated with this incredible experience. I cannot move on to a second course. In fact, I cannot move at all. The chef knows how talented she is and he smiles at me as if to say "I told you so" but instead, you know that you have made her happy because she knows she has made you happy. More is offered but I cannot continue, drained as I am.
This is going on my list (a short list at that) of All Time Favorite restaurants and she knows it. A true Great Fantabulous Experience, I will return many times to sample all the gourmet dishes that are offered, and I know that each time I return, there will be that same irrepressible welcoming smile to greet me.
